Kennedy Mugume is a conservation and environmental professional affiliated with Western Media for Environment and Conservation (WEMECO) and other programmes; his profiles document his work in environmental journalism, community projects, and natural-resource governance initiatives. That mix of media, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery provides him with practical knowledge of the CBDs aims and the implications of the Nagoya Protocol for communities and reporters covering biodiversity issues. His public activities demonstrate familiarity with community consultation, benefit-sharing challenges, and the communication gaps that hinder the uptake of ABS. By combining media skills with on-the-ground project work, Mugume can support awareness-raising on ABS, help ensure transparent community consultation processes, and translate complex ABS legalities into practical guidance for local stakeholders and journalists.
